Dirty Harry? 48 Hours? The Presidio?

How could you forget Tommy Wiseau's masterpiece?

I contemplated putting it at number 10 but couldn't do that in good faith. A handful of shots of Tommy walking around the streets of SF does not constitute a San Francisco Movie to me.

Dirty Harry is pretty good, Magnum Force is better, but neither are as classy as Bullitt. It's been a long time since I've watched 48 Hrs. so I'm not qualified to rate/rank it. I've never actually seen The Presidio.

2. 48 Hrs. (1982)
3. Milk (2008)

You want to get nuts? Check out my bloated Batman ranking list. WTF, Batman v Superman > Batman Forever? I must be insane.

I can understand BvS > BF

I've just realized now that BF is Batman Forever, not Batman Returns (insert Ric Olie image here).

I can understand the forumla BvS > BF better now.

Big Trouble - too much schlock. Milk - too much schmaltz.

I guess I gotta rewatch 48 Hrs. soon.

Top 10 Marvel Cinematic Universe Movies

  1. Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014) - 10/10
It almost feels wrong to rate this superhero movie a 10 because of the incredible bias against them, but... I just love it so much.
  2. Black Panther (2018) - 9/10
Deserves the love it gets. Would be a 10 if the CGI action at the end wasn't, well, crappy. But the Korea car chase more than makes up for it- mmh, so good!
  3. Iron Man (2008) - 9/10
Fantastic movie. Only shortcoming is a weaker third act than the other ones, but hardly movie-breaking.
  4. Captain America: Civil War (2016) - 9/10
  5. Avengers: Infinity War (2018) - 8/10
  6. Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 1 & 2 (2014-2017) - 8/10
Can't decide which is better - both are great movies with different pros and cons that overall bring them to the same level in my eyes.
  7. The Avengers (2012)  - 8/10
  8. Iron Man 3 (2013) - 8/10 (Underrated movie)
  9. Thor (2011) - 7/10 (Also underrated)
  10. Captain America: The First Avenger (2011) - 7/10
DC Cinematic Universe Ranking

  1. Man of Steel (2013) - 8/10 (Sorry - I think it's great)
  2. Wonder Woman (2017) - 7.5/10 (Very good but the finale is a confused and laughable mess)
  3. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) - 3/10 (Ugh... well, at least they tried to tell a meaningful story.)
  4. Suicide Squad (2016) - 2/10 (Jesus, what a boring mess!)
  5. Justice League (2017) - 2/10 (Again - what a mess!)
I haven't seen Aquaman yet but my guess from what I've heard 6/10 would be appropriate I suppose; I dunno.

Batman Ranking (controversial)

  1. The Dark Knight (2008) - 10/10 (masterpiece)
  2. The Dark Knight Rises (2012) - 8.5/10 (sure it gets flak and there are plot-holes but I still think it's an amazing finale)
  3. Batman Begins (2005) - 8/10 (great origin story)
  4. The LEGO Batman Movie (2017) - 7/10 (watched this on the plane - really fun kids movie)
  5. Batman Forever (1995) - 6/10 (lol I kinda like Batman Forever feel free to kill me - but Two-Face here is definitely garbage)
  6. Batman & Batman Returns (1989-1992) - 5/10 (style over substance - again, feel free to kill me)
  7. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) - 3/10 (ugh)
  8. Batman & Robin (1997) - 2/10 (need I say more? Though I liked some scenes with Alfred)
Haven't seen Mask of the Phantasm, but I really want to.

Your opinions on these movies are wrong and I won't hear otherwise.

I'm just kidding. I agree that Iron Man 3 is underrated. All else is wrong though.

Batman Forever over Batman and Returns, and 5/10 for each of those?

  7. Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 1
  8. Thor
  9. Thor: The Dark World
  10. Iron Man

Thinking more on Batman & Batman Returns, I continued on my search for what I was missing. This video might be what I was looking for:

Before I watched this video, every time I watched the Burton films I thought there was no story or character development, but also felt like I was missing something when I found myself caring in key scenes. Now that I have a better understanding of them, I want to rewatch them and reasses my Batman ranking. I’m still not sure about Batman being a killer but I’m okay with different interpretations.

Also: I want to watch Mask of the Phantasm but I also want to get the full experience. Is there any Batman: The Animated Series episodes I can watch to get the best experience? Similar to how I watched three episodes of Star Trek before I watched Wrath of Khan.
