no timing is changed with this method, audio will be in sync therefore. :)
Try burning a rewriteable and test it.

fu<k fu<k fu<k, I'm really getting tired of this conversion.

I converted every video, changed the DVD Lab Pro project settings to NTSC, changed everything that could be related to PAL/NTSC. Then compiled my DVD and got an error.

I got an error when I hit the compile button. It said that all my videos were PAL videos. But those are all the videos that I conversed into GPulldown etc. It should be NTSC now.

Boon23, help me!!

why is the framesize for all of these 720x576? Oh I think I found the error... you marked DVD compliant and since it is PAL, CCE resized it to that again. :)
Don't worry, errors happen to all of us and you must have thought that DVD compliant meant somethign different than resizing. So, unmark DVD compliant in CCE, just mark close all gops.
And then encode all of it again.
I know you can do it :) Don't give up.

aaaaaarrrrggggghhhhh :? :-o :???: :-? :-x
and then I dropped from my chair and fel dead on the floor....

So the error is in CCE? Damn, I will need to encode ALL the video's AGAIN!!!

Thanks for the help boon. I'm gonna check it out!

ok sooooo little review of this fanedit.

first the technical stuff:
it's impecable. i saw no flaws , heard no flaws.

very very good job on that part , you toke some risks they paid of , major kuddos for that.

second the artistic stuff:
hummm
the idea is good. the objective you set out to do is a most wanted from the T1 T2 fans.
I think you have obtain your objective with the various edits you did.

unfotunately , T1 and (but less) T2 are works of art.
With the raw materials provided with T3 plus extras , it is just does not seem possible to correct all the decisions that were made by the production team of T3.
you have succefully removed the most obvious ones , but the movie in itself still lacks the "whatever" that made T1 especialy scary , and T2 the good movie it is.

now , understand:
I admire your work, it is flaw less , it is bald , and it is very well executed.

unfortunately , T3 is such a bad movie that nothing , not even the fantastic job you did can save this movie.

there is T1 and T2 . two masterpieces .

and the there's T3 , a bad movie from a production standpoint.
I think your excellent job on this raw material shows just one thing :
Decisions were made at the pre production level of that movie that cannot be unmade in the fanediting process.

I was full of hope while downloading this fanedit. I thought i were gonna get that scary felling I had bach in 1984 , when i came back from the movie theater , or that thrill I had in 1991 , but I didn't.

This fanedit is better than the original theatrical release. but it's still not a good movie.

That's mainly due to the fact that T3 is a from point production standpoint the starting point for the TVserie and the sequels coming. it is not a continuity from T1 and T2.

note to you faneditor:
you did achieve your goal. it's just that T3 is not at all a good movie , to say the least.
I encourage you to keep doing fanediting , you have shown with T3 that you have the knowledge and the now-how for this art form that is fan editing. I am looking forward to some other stuff from you !

Euh, boon23, I can't find DVD compliant. Where is it? Do you have a screenshot by any chance?

Thanks for the review.

I agree with you at all points. T3 can't be compared with T1 and T2. I had little stuff to work with to change T3, but I gave it my best try. The most irritating scenes are removed. Perhaps if they will release the deleted scenes, but even with that, I don't think there's a big possibility to redeem T3.

Thanks for your review and your kind words!!

ok, I think I found it (you are using a different version than I do, I use 2.66).

12368694da1.jpg

my piece of advice:
make a sample first, test it and then continue.

I fthis is not it, then it must be under ADVANCED.

I will give it a try. I don't think it's under advanced, I couldn't find anything there. But I will try this!

Funny I was watching T3 and I wanted to re edit it. I started making a list while watching and when checking this later realized you had many of the same cuts I had and music cues. So I gave it a look... not bad at all. T2 is my all time favorite movie (T1 is however a better film - and there are much better films - it is a just a nostalgia thing I think) and the 3rd was always a disappointment. I cannot wait for all of your other Terminator Discs especially T2 3D and T2 Bonus features... keep up the awesome work!

^^ Thanks :)

Boon23, I need your help again. I unchecked the "for DVD" option, but it still doesn't work. DVD Lab Pro sees my movie as a PAL video:

a least it states one thing clearly: 720x576 frame size.
I don't know why that happens. Perhaps you should try another CCE version. Mine is 2.66.

I also activated the resize option with CCE and now it seems like DVD Lab Pro accepts this file, so I'm gonna work on this file and hopefully (/finally) turn this into the NTSC DVD...

edit:
I had never expected to work so long on this single fanedit. :-(

it will all pay off in the end. i am looking forward to seeing this

Once this NTSC version is finished, I can finally start on the T23D one.

Looks this is actually working. I'm gonna finish the Scenes Selection screen (= the one thing I really hate about making DVD's) and then I think the NTSC version is finally finished!!!!!!!!

edit:
I forgot, I also have to re-do my fancut marker, since it looks that the 2nd line falls out of the screen after this NTSC conversion.

oh, this is exciting. .)

I see that the fancut marker (subtitle) is not completely in synch like it was with the PAL version, but hey... nothing is perfect.

I'm gonna make the torrent within a couple of days.
