Fan Edits Wish List

1st Fan Edit I would love to see a fan edit where you have people fighting different people in a over the top action packed movie with all of these people and if not all of them at least have most of them: Arnold Schwarzenegger, Nicolas Cage, Keanu Reeves, Jackie Chan, Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Lee, Bruce Willis, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Harrison Ford, Liam Neeson, Mel Gibson, Chuck Norris, Dwayne Johnson, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Denzel Washington, Danny Trejo, Samuel L. Jackson, Gerard Butler, Dolph Lundgren, Tommy Lee Jones, Vin Diesel, Wesley Snipes, Steven Seagal, Michael Jai White, Danny Glover, Eddie Murphy, Michael Biehn, Christopher Lambert, Milla Jovovich, Sigourney Weaver, Kate Beckinsale, Gal Gadot, Uma Thurman, Angelina Jolie, Lucy Liu, Michelle Rodriguez, Linda Hamilton, Jennifer Garner…. 2nd Fan Edit I would like to see is a true full length Power Rangers Super Megaforce Legendary Battle where you have every ranger come back and interacting with each other and fighting together in battle with every single power that each ranger got within their season and all rangers morphing together in some way and what I really want to end the battle off would be a massive megazord battle where they use every megazord combination possible it would make me very happy if I saw this edit come to life

LOL well okay SPOILER ALERT:
1. starts with 2 kids with rare blood diseases (one smart one rich) forced to live on life support in a hospital - anybody with a heart would feel for them but the movie felt in necessary for one of the boys to get beat by a gang of kids ? just so we feel for them? like they literally jumped him.
2. One of the sick kids grows up to become leading blood doctor, okay ill buy it, but the number 2 blood doctor is a gorgeous young SINGLE lady that loves morbius despite his issues but of course he cant see this and decides to experiment on himself
3. One aspect i found interesting was that morbius was killing people for their blood but then it turns out he was actually not the killer it was the bad vampire/other sick kid i thought that was a cop out - it reminded me of the movie wolf with jack nicholson and james spader
4. which leads to another trope the bad guy having the same power as the good guy

but im sure similar can be said about most super hero movies. Also i enjoy bad movies too - so im sure if theres a sequel ill watch it lol.

I’ve saw this one and I loved it…. Once with myself and once with my mom and we loved it but I was talking about in those 2 fan edits is the 1st one is a movie by itself no avengers stuff lol and the 2nd one a power rangers legendary battle movie with all those ideas I listed to end Super Megaforce properly

Now what I would love for you to do with that edit is make it into a full movie…. For example take Infinity War & End Game and using those movies add in all the characters in some way form or fashion

When I first started editing, it was mostly little (aka achievable) edits like this, especially trimming off cliffhanger endings from canceled TV series.
 
I'd like to see a version of the Martyrs without the torture porn.

I'd quite like a grindhoused Ghost Rider film cobbled together from the Nice Cage films.
 
An edit of Who Framed Roger Rabbit? that adds back in the deleted "pig head" scene, edited for pacing and to remove Jessica Rabbit from the scene (and thus the implication that she might be in cahoots with Judge Doom). You could even just have it start with Eddie Valiant getting thrown into Toontown with the pig head stuck on and continue from there so his midday shower doesn't seem so random (you could cut the animated guts going down the drain if you really wanted to, too).
 
It seems like it'd be relatively easy to pare down the more modern dialogue/references/innuendo/etc. in Young Frankenstein to make it more like a hypothetical '30s Universal Frankenstein film series installment.
 
Love this question.

My wish would be for everyone to make what they want to make.

But I would like to see more of;

FanMixes, Shorts and Preservations (Especially, of movies in the 60's and before).

I would also like to see Fanedits of Movies that did not do well, and can be made to flow better. An interesting Idea was on Youtube about Passengers with Jenifer Lawrence & Chris Pratt. Movies like these.

Also, Movies not of Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Horror or Action Genres. It would be nice to see comedies and dramas being changed. Or, merging two or more different movies together (Not of the same Franchise).

More Non-English films should deserve their own edits as well, good, mediocre and bad ones.
 
Would also Love a Coloured Up, Bright and trimmed down version of House of Gucci.

I would be very impressed if someone makes this bleak, cringey and boring movie better.
 
Some fan edits I would love more of are:

- film franchises edited to be like series. DigModification did this wonderfully with Daniel Craig's James Bond. They also expressed interest in doing the same with the Jason Bourne franchise, and I think that would be amazing.
--- Someone mentioned the Fast Saga as a series, and I could get behind that. I fell off the franchise after 8. Furious 7 was the dumbest movie I've ever seen, despite them doing a good job working around the death of Paul Walker.

- LOST as a mini series. Or at least more condensed seasons, like 10 episodes per instead of 23.
- A condensed Arrowverse. Or a solid movie for Green Arrow based on the first or second seasons.
- The Walking Dead movies. I could see season 1 and 2 making a great couple movies.
- Agent's of SHIELD condensed to be more bingable with the larger MCU. DSM2337 masterfully condensed season 1 into three feature length films. It's my go to for a streamlined viewing of the entire MCU. I have begun the process of doing the same thing with season 2, but it's been pretty challenging!

Also more creative mashups, like Blue Yoda's Escape from the Shining Alien Thing from Beyond the Stars.

@AD_Phoenix did an incredible edit of season 1 of The Walking Dead.

Personally for me, I really wan't to see someone try and give rescoring Baby Driver a go. It would be incredibly hard to do, but interesting to say the least.
 
My ideas:

-An extended edit of Brazil that combines all footage from all 3 versions (theatrical version, director's cut, and Love Conquers All version) plus an option to watch which ending you prefer (plus one to watch an alternate opening and alternate version of the original ending).
-An ultimate extended version of The Evil Dead trilogy as one film
-A custom dub for Asterix: The Mansions of The Gods combining the US/Canadian and UK dubs since both have some good casting choices (example: Ken Kramer as Asterix and Nick Frost as Obelix)

I had forgot about that. That might be something that can get my editing motivation started :)
 
I would like to see all editors edit in 5.1 surround so that I can enjoy their edits to the fullest on my home theatre system.
