The Font Help Spot

None of the usual tricks for finding typefaces seem to work with that one. Might be a custom one?

ThrowgnCpr said i should post over here. Im trying to find a font. This one is pretty standard by I like the look of it. I was wondering if anyone knows the name of this font, or the name of a font style similar to this one. Here it is its the fonts from the opening credits (sorry if this is over kill, but i just did a bunch of screenshots that gave the greatest sampling of upper and lower case, and most of the letters of the alphabet)

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

UPDATE: I used whatthefont's submit an image option, and after going through that process based on their results, the closest match is the font "Bee Three". This is a commercial font and I'm wondering if there are any free alternative font styles that are similar to it.

Thanks. I'll check it out.

Update: No luck with "What the font" but I remembered that the Mistral font has that kinda of chaotic, sloppy look to it.

I'm trying to find a font set for chinese characters. I tried downloading some fonts which showed samples and they were definitely chinese. However when I imported the font and typed out some letters in Microsoft Word, the letters show up in english. Does anyone know how i can type chinese characters. I just need to be able to type out one or two. Thanks.

Most fonts have support for Chinese characters. What you need is an IME, or input method editor, which will convert Latin characters to Chinese.

Here's one (page is in Chinese).
http://www.google.com/ime/pinyin/
To download, click the blue button. If you are running 64-bit Windows, pick the first link underneath the button, and if you have Windows 2000, choose the link under that.

Or you can use this website:

And copy and paste the text.

Does anyone know what font is used for the opening credits in Alien 3? Here is a still.

Any ideas are appreciated.

Damn. How did I miss that?

I think it's Eurostile Extended #2 but not 100% sure.

As far as I can find, the closest free match is http://www.whatfontis.com/KaratMedium-Regular.font

Other commercial ones may be closer.

I just found that site.
I submitted the url to the image and that website spit out the best hits... neat stuff.

See for yourself by going to http://www.whatfontis.com/

Just feed it a black and white image and it spits out free and/or commercial hits.

I'm surprised at how well it worked considering that whatthefont couldn't find anything close.
