I wonder where did you get that number? I tried finding it in that film, and I didn't see that number.

21295 Island of Terror

Some foreign films have a US major distributor (as in distributed by a major studio), and I can assume that the US version of some foreign films has a number somewhere.

it may have on the Original list I started with. My list is a heavy edited & modified version of a list i found somewhere that is how I got the links to IMDB or it may have been other list Filmnummers list & it looks like that list is no longer accessible

Their are Only 79 52000's Missing. Let's try to get that Number down below 50. I'm sure their will be some 52000's popping up the Bulletins in the coming weeks but not enough to complete the 52000's

I'm only counting 78 missing. Some of the later ones will surely be revealed this year. It's the earlier ones I'm worried about.

Just for clarification these are the ones I've got as missing:

52044 / 52045 / 52079
52102 / 52117 / 52122 / 52142 / 52143
52220 / 52238 / 52253
52319 / 52337 / 52360 / 52369 / 52383 / 52388 / 52389 / 52390 / 52397
52404 / 52413 / 52414 / 52422 / 52436 / 52440 / 52495
52505 / 52575 / 52577 / 52592 / 52594
52612 / 52613 / 52628 / 52629 / 52630 / 52631 / 52632 / 52633 / 52634 / 52639 / 52651
52708 / 52718 / 52719 / 52728 / 52736 / 52739 / 52781 / 52782 / 52783 / 52793
52803 / 52806 / 52807 / 52808 / 52829 / 52833 / 52836 / 52850 / 52859 / 52871 / 52874 / 52875
52914 / 52915 / 52926 / 52945 / 52968 / 52975 / 52977 / 52984 / 52987 / 52988 / 52989 / 52990 / 52995

I can presume that some (but not all) missing numbers might be assigned to NR or "approved but not rated" films. From what I gave these numbers earlier, these came from films that are distributed by minor studios. I searched by minor distributors on IMDb, most films are rated, and some are not. I looked through the NR films, only few have a number in the credits, and most have not.

Let's take the example of those that are in the 51000s. 19 of them are missing, so those 19 might be assigned to NR films.

Additional info: Those films released during the PCA times, numbered 1 to nearly 22,000, are surely NR. But some of them are rated and some have a second number for their re-issue, so we can't determine the first number easier.

i Think the reason I have 79 missing is because I start at 52001 not 52000. I give each sequence 1000 numbers starting at 1-1000 / 1001-2000 / & so on. if you start at 52000 you only give the first sequence 999 numbers. I have same list of missing numbers i'm just include 53000 in the 52000's sequence of 1000 numbers giving me 79 missing unless of course you have 53000

I do start each thousand number sequence with the 0 and not the 1 because the very first number in each thousand number sequence does start with the 0, minus the very first thousand number sequence that is. Regardless of if you start your thousand number sequence with the 0 or the 1 you should still have 78 missing number since the first missing number is 52044 and not 52000.

DO YOU HAVE #53000 MAKES 79. I'll will check them again but i'm sure I have 79 missing counting 53000

I check them again & I can confirm I have 79 missing including 53000 that is the only one that is not on your missing list which makes 79

My bad. I was thinking up until 52999. I don't know why you count the first number in each thousand number sequence as 001 instead of 000. 53000 is not part of the 52000's.

like said if start #1 to 1000 that 1000 Numbers 52001 to 53000 is 1000 numbers if you start the 1000 sequence at 1000 to 1999 you short the first sequence 1 number so you would start 52000's at 52001 to 53000 totaling 1000 numbers. you do it other way you short the first sequence 1 number

I start each sequence at 1 end with 0. 1 to 1000 / 1001 to 2000 / 2001 to 3000 / & so on. It's easier that way for me

What difference does it make if the very first sequence is short one single number? Every other sequence afterwards would still have one thousand numbers in it if you started at 000 instead of 001. 000-999 is one thousand numbers. I really don't understand why starting at 1 instead of 0 makes it easier for you.

you said you start at 1 not 0 their is no certificate #0 you are starting at 0 because 52000 ends in 0 their fore you starting with 0 not 1. you can start with 0 if you want but I don't

I am starting my thousand number sequences with 0 because the very last number in a thousand number sequence is 999. Once you roll over into the following number you are starting a new thousand number sequence. It's not just how I do it, it's how everybody does it. You want to end your thousand number sequence with the first number in the following thousand number sequence, fine, be weird and illogical, but don't tell me we're missing 79 numbers from the 52000's when one of those numbers you're counting belongs to the following thousand number sequence.

Also, you really need to start using punctuation and capitalization. It would make what you're writing so much easier to read and, hopefully, understand.

When you are counting Money & putting them in piles of 100. Do you stop at 100 & restart 100 or 101?

Your analogy isn't relevant because we are talking about two completely different things. Let's look at it this way. Say you're thirty years old. Now, would you say you were still in your twenties or would you say you were in your thirties? Because according to your rationale you would still be in your twenties.

It's a tough week for new ratings, with just 6.

53051 A Cinderella Story: Starstruck - PG
53054 The Ice Road - PG-13
53058 The Laureate - R
53059 Trail Of Justice - PG-13
53060 The Mad Hatter - R
53061 Blithe Spirit - PG-13

It's implied that the quantity is poor. Since we're in the 3rd week of the year, it looks like the rating system is failing. It is forecasted that we would expect 408 titles by end of year. Let's wait and see...

I'm a little confused about what the intention is?

As of this week, the highest number is 53,061, with 6 new numbers assigned to films. Sounds small, right? I would prefer quantity over quality if I had big interest in numbers.

This thread should be merged with the 50,000 Movie Challenge thread. We don't need two threads for the exact same topic.
