Hello all,

First, I want to say thank you for just the opportunity to be looked at by the Academy. I am happy to be here announcing that I have been doing a lot of polishing of this edit since the last update. I found several things on my own needing adjusting along with some finds by members of the community here, which were addressed. I thank all of you for your thoughts and time. Before I update the OP I will wait for the rendering to finish.

But until then, here are new and additional fixes made since the last workprint:

-Fix low resolution official Godzilla KOTM Titlecard & gamma/color adjust it for better clarity - COMPLETE
^I had left in a low resolution version in the last workprint.

-Gamma/color adjust similar titlecard at end of edit - COMPLETE

-Fix/Re-align several titlecards to center - COMPLETE

-Fix pacing/timing of slowed shots of Emma and Madison in the kitchen opening - FIXED

-Fix clipping audio in monarch hearing scene - FIXED
^added low hum sfx to scene as well

-Find and fix clipping audio noticed by ArtisDead - FIXED
^ I found parts of the timeline where the strips were not faded when Mark is talking to Emma.

-Try to apply idea of cutting some of the Emma/Mark exchange - FIXED
^Suggesed by ArtisDead.

-Fix/cut shot of Emma/Madi on helicopter - FIXED
^reverted back to theatrical cut. Madi now says she is scared and Emma "agrees". I should have left this sequence alone from the beginning.

-Check for "red tinting" in the 'intimidation display' scene - CHECKED
^I noticed that the overhead lights in some shots are orange/red and I noticed one shot of Serizawa's face being red. This red color is coming from the massive screen he is looking at I believe.

-Fix clipping audio at the end of the 'intimidation scene' - FIXED
^Found by myself and ArtisDead.

-Fix clipping during 'monster zero discussion' - FIXED
^Found by myself and ArtisDead.

-Fix/cut line: "I record everything..." (around 1hr.16min.) - COMPLETE

-Cut/Re-align shots when Alan exclaims "We don't have time for this" - COMPLETE

-Cut line: "I have to fix this." by Emma when leaving to find Madison - COMPLETE
^This dialogue line was originally said by Emma off-screen.

-Adjust audio levels of drill sfx during Orca fixing scene - COMPLETE

-Write in new credits to end scroller - COMPLETE

-Fix credit scroll at very end - FIXED
^The credits at the very end scrolled out of frame incorrectly

-Make Special Thanks to end scroller - COMPLETE

-Add end scroller to timeline - COMPLETE

-Higher bit render at 3840 x 1600 resolution instead of 1920 x 800 - IN-PROGRESS

-Render blu ray compatible files

-Update blu ray covers

-Forum post img update
^with new resolution, audio AAC 320, Runtime with Credits, etc.

Hey, I wanted to let you know I have been unable to sit and watch my latest workprint yet, from beginning to end. But I believe it is ready. I work all weekend and Monday so I cannot take the time to sit and watch it all yet to be certain I didn't screw anything new up. But I'm 99% sure its ready.

Just wanted to give you guys an update on where I sit with the edit. It's literally rendered and waiting for me to sit through it in its entirety.

Now, I've got this crazy idea for a trailer while we wait for the Academy to get to this.

Since I have been able to get it reviewed very quickly by my wonderful editor I have started reworking a few things today.

I don't want to give an inaccurate time-frame of when it will be done, but I have been working on the suggestions. Many of the suggestions are easy adjustments. Can't wait to get it back out to you guys.

After the film edit itself is completed I'll be working on fixing/redoing the artwork as well. I may need some of y'alls help with that to get the Blu Ray cover right. But I think I can.

I personally understand what you're doing with this fan edit. Even I want to make a few changes to this film, such as making Rodan an Ally, or a Post-Credit Scene teasing a Godzilla Vs Gamera Film. But if you're okay with YOUR changes to the film, then that's okay by me.

If you look at the total cut-list I did, this movie does feel more like the original Godzilla of 2014. If you're into that, you'll love the opening of my edit and the intensity my edit brings.
