Bond-Spectre

Yeah. I'm not surprised it got passed over.

I heard/read a lot of comments that 'Spectre' has "Gigantic plot holes that you could drive a ->insert name of large vehicle here<- through and that the whole story made zero sense". I didn't really notice any that I recall, so I'm curious to know what these people are referrring to?
Now that I've thought on the movie a bit more... why did he take the train to Oberhauser's lair? What was his plan? Why did he bother trying to teach whatsherface how to shoot a gun when he cheerfully surrendered his after being chauffered to the lair itself? Now, I'm willing to overlook the matter of why Hinx attacked them on the train when they were so placidly heading to Oberhauser's lair anyway, as Oberhauser may not have been in that close contact with Hinx. But, I ask again: wot the bloody heck was Bond doing just waltzing (no pun intended) into Oberhauser's HQ, with no apparent plan whatsoever?! Just to wing it, and hope he's relatively impervious to amateur head surgery, counting on the fact that a Bond movie's not gonna kill James Bond? What was he doing, I say?! ;-)

You know there were rumours that Radiohead recorded a song for Spectre?

Turns out those rumours were true :)

I find myself listening to the Radiohead song far more than I listen to Sam Smith's one.  Genuinely more apt, in my opinion.

Now, back to the film.  I feel the movie is just no "Casino Royale" - amazing film - or "Skyfall", which I liked and didn't like, but felt was believably in the same world, as - yes, I know - "Quantum of Solace".  This diverged so much from the previous ones which I found myself just feeling less 'attached' to it, and feel it just could have been _so_ much more.  It would just be amazing to remove its dependence on "Casino Royale" and "Skyfall" which felt so personal and distinct, but retaining the idea of Quantum as a branching organization.  I really liked the idea of Daniel Craig co-producing and sort of making it 'his' film in many ways, such as incorporating so many elements from past 007 movies and sort of rounding off the character as 'complete', for the first time, as many have already said.  And I can't stand Sam Smith's "Writing's On the Wall", unfortunately...
