So...the title speaks for itself...

“Outstanding SD fanedits by AWOL faneditors Meriting an HD rebuild”

So, we have a thread on "absent faneditors" and on "wish lists" but this kind of plugs a gap....

Which would you all like to see? (Northwest Passage I hear someone cry)

I for one will defo be rebuilding in HD Kerr's 6 Part Lord of the Rings edits, staying 99.5% faithful and just tweaking a few things like:
  1. adding back in Gollum's crumbling of the Lembas ( to correct a continuity error)
  2. replacing Ian Holm with Martin Freeman in Flashback shots
  3. Placing the Smaegol flashback to where it originally was meant to be (per the appendices docs)
  4. plus a few very minor other things.
I'll turn to this in 2022 after my next two projects.

Let me get this going...

Northwest Passage I hear someone cry!

Good thread Wraith. Maybe I’ll check out those LOTR edits when you finish them. It’s my favorite film (all three), so it won’t become my go to, but it will be an interesting project to see. I believe macmilln remastered an edit of Fight Club called I Am Jack’s Laryngitis, but it might have been a different faneditor. Glad this thread has been created though.

I have already made these changes in SD, for anyone interested.

It would be good to compile a master list too, and maybe over time we can all take a crack at one or two.

First Dibbs on Kerr's LoTR....

I haven’t finished my first edit yet, so I won’t be remastering any until I’ve released my first one (and probably two), but I will add to the “master list” of edits I’d love to see remastered.

Freaking Red Dragon Manhunter Cut by CBB and ummm...

Twin Peaks Northwest Passage by Q2?

I echo Wraith’s comments about Kerr’s LOTR edits. Also I’d add the Hellblazer Constantine edit by Jorge remixed and there was also an intriguing piece of work on Event Horizon that I’ve never been able to get a hold of a decent copy off (names escapes me at the minute)

/\ Killer Horizon by Mollo? I was going to list that one too.

Doctor M's Matrix Hacked edits.

I even got permission to do it.

And of course never did lol.

Yes, that’s the one!
Thought so.That is a favorite of mine. Nick Mollo is one who has said goodbye. Clicked his heels and went back to RL. It may not be difficult to recreate. He lists his sources.

forgot about this thread, I made a short list of these that I might attempt, includes non-AWOL faneditors

also, would be amazing to see War of the Stars II by @TMBTM in HD, that's one of my favourite edits of all time
