The X-Men band together to find a mutant assassin who has made an attempt on the President's life, while the Mutant Academy is attacked by military forces.

EDIT DETAILS:
X2 in my opinion is one of the finest comic book movies, the changes made to this fanedit are to bring the series in line with one another. With prequels being made based loosely based on Bryan Singers x-men movies, this could very well be the 5th film in the series, if First Class is to be made into a trilogy. With that in mind i wanted to remove the title from X2 and replace it with the opening title from x-men.

With Hank McCoy starring in First Class as the blue mutant we all recognize as well as being in X3 his brief cameo in human form has been removed. Also removed is Kitty Pryde’s cameo, the character has appeared in three x-men films but is played by a different actress each time. in these fanedits she is talked about in both films but will not be seen until The Cure.

Wolverines flasback scenes have been replaced with those from Wolverine Origins, though Bryan Singers flashback scenes are better the purpose of the edit is continuity. Stryker’s line about giving Wolverine claws has been removed as we see in Origins Wolverine has always had claws.

Nightcrawlers close-up shoots at the end of the film has been removed. nothing against the actor/character but this scene made it look like nightcrawler was now apart of the x-men only to be excluded from the third film without any mention as to were he had gone.

Removed Bryan Singers flashback scenes and replaced them with scenes from Wolverine
Removed the line 'have you ever tried not being a mutant'

Removed Nightcrawlers close-up at the Whitehouse at the end of the movie
Replaced X2 opening titles and replaced them with X-men 1 titles
