I have just a question, but it could be a bit hard to explain.

Let's say I don't want to use a video menu in order to save space on the DVD. So I just want a static menu. However I'd like to create an intro video which should lead into this menu. So the ending of this video will have the exact same shot as the static menu, in order to flow over into it.

What's the best thing to do?
I want to create the menu in Photoshop.
The intro-video will be created in a video editor.

My question is, what should be the resolutions of the menu and the video so that they will flow smoothly over into each other?

dont have the resolution for 16x9 on me but for 4x3

edge of picture 720x540

safe button area 620x465 (roughly but works great for me)

what i would do (but theres probably a better way) is create a menu drop the video onto it and set it to end once the audio has finished then link it to the static menu.
