Hey Guys!

I am looking for a way to improve the quality of something that has been recorded from VHS. I am trying to remake my Five Doctors edit, and want to improve the quality this time round.

Can you recommend a software that can improve the quality of VHS footage. Small words please...

Cheers,

-Dan

it will also help if you had a proc amp, color corrector and time base corrector for the initial capture (whether this is done with a homedeck or pc capture card)

The pc has many filters for many programs which you can tinker your video with even further. Slightly lowering sharpness to reduce grain or extra video noise caused by sharpness will help a little as well

VirtualDub has a lot of great filters. But it is better to work with an avi or DV file. Once it is in mpeg format you are really limited in restoration of the image.

Okay, I am going to use Virtual Dub on an AVI. Can someone recommend good filters to use?

Cheers.
