When I start to compile the DVD, the thing gets aborted because "Pre verification fails." I for one can't think of any reason why this thing gets shown. Any hints?
 
There should be a list with all the things dvd lab pro 2 has done up that point. A logging. It appears when you start compiling. Copy that whole list and paste it here.

The first 2 video files are M2V (ES/PES), then the third one is MPV (VOB). I'm not sure, but perhaps DVD Lab Pro can't handle 2 different kinds of video files...

What happens if you rename the MPV file to a M2V file (assuming they are both mpeg2 encoded)?

They're both MPEG-2 encoded, however, how do I rename the file? I know that's an awfully n00bish question, but I can't quite figure it out, since on explorer it only shows the name of the file, not the extension.
 
you have to change your folder options, so the full name gets displayed, even for known files. Then you can easily change the ending.
And if you do: mpv is m2v. they are the same.
 
I changed it, but the videotype still doesn't match. I know how to deal with this (kinda). I'll rip that video with the same settings as the previous ones and then report back.
 
It now works, the video type-thingie was the problem. Thanks T-Hope and Boon.

If anyone can help me decipher this log, I would greatly appreciate it. I see no errors in it.

It's just a list of everything you included.
it lists 3 videos with ac-3 audio, 29.97fps
and 10 menus, all still.
menu 01 is a dummy and likely what causes the problem.
 
I would place my own bet on the same thing that boon suggests. The rest looks okay, except for the dummy thing.
 
For lack of a better word, how do I un-dummy the menu (no funny comments either :-x )?

I compiled almost the same DVD the other day, and I don't think I did anything differently.
 
I am still using version 1.52 and for good reason. Never had a dummy menu.
what is your menu1? Can you add some more info?
 
Normally, you'll never get a dummy menu. I am using version 2.2 and 2.3 and never got a dummy menu. You must have created it by accident or so.
 
My menu 1 is my root menu. I have a bmp background and 4 text buttons, all properly linked.

EDIT: Actually, looking at the report, It seems that my menu 1 is listed as menu 2. I have 9 menus, not 10.

either find menu 1 and get rid of it or restart the project.
 
Is it possible that menu 1 that the report lists, is not the menu listed as menu 1 in my project? Thanks for all your quick help btw.
