help burning a dual layer dvd

I'm looking for some help on burning dual layer dvds. I'm not even entirely sure I can do it with my dvd writer, but I think I can. It is an optiarc ad-7200s. Do I need to buy special dual-layer dvds? And do i have to tell my burning program (nero) that i'm doing a dual-layer? Thanks for the help.
 
you will need to create a image file first(iso) with imgburn,then burn with nero rom...yes you will need a DL disc and burn at 2-4 speed.
