I have a short B/W clip that I put a green area on to use as a greenscreen.

This has worked well in the past but this time the layer of video under the clip can be seen "through" the white area of the B/W clip. The green part is gone and the layer below is completely clear but in the white area the lower layer is visible although it looks sort of faded.

I have only tried the greenscreen effect.

Is there a way round this problem?

problem solved.
I went to turn off the greenscreen effect to try something else. Instead I played with the settings and was able to get it just right
