Don't you bike to work though, or am I thinking of somebody else?

You are correct, I do bike to work, almost every day, but it's a pretty short commute. A 5 mile round-trip bike ride on flat terrain doesn't negate sitting at a computer for 10-12 hours or more a day. I like to run a few days a week too when I get the chance.

hey, all you FE vladimir harkonnens, file some status reports!

i'm gonna make honest women out of you yet. :D

Epic fail. But the year is not over yet... ;-)

schtatus report: since releasing crouching dragon in august, i've gotten back in the groove—lost a few pounds of fat and gained a few pounds of muscle. this mofo is now doing pull-ups with a 45-pound weight strapped to me. feel kind of bad-assed for a guy in his 40s.

hope you dudes (and the stray dudette) are paying attention to your health. without it, there's not much else. :)

Congrats sj, sounds good to me. I too have begun to get back in the groove... let us see how long this particular groove lasts..

I'm nowhere near my goal:

I, Neglify, promise to GAIN 1kg a week and become a pudgier little movie lover.

I'll go Neg's way... but only because I'm 6' and weigh 145 lbs on a good day... Here's to weekly gains!

You can have some of mine NSP.

I crossed the great 40 barrier this year and have been slow-going on my efforts to regain some semblance of health, but have finally gotten on track. I am currently 'training' to do a 5k Zombie run that is next week. With any luck I'll survive the event and also not be a zombie at the end.

But bigger goal is to do a Triathlon Sprint next spring (which is also when I hit 41) and along the way looking to drop a staggering 70 lb's. I'll start posting in here to keep myself accountable.

This morning's weigh-in: 241.
Miles run (one day total) 1.5 (short window as I had to shower in time for work)

I'll try and do a weekly update with total miles and weight. Currently weight is actually secondary to me compared to improving cardio endurance.

I am shocked that there are already two people in this thread that are older than me.

Lately I can't even find time to work on my edit. How can I possibly get back on the workout train?

you whippersnappers, you.

now that i'm exercising almost every day, i can eat just about anything i want and not gain weight. it's fucking great.

i think i'll go eat a box of oreos just for the heck of it. . . i kid. :p

I've lost about 30 pounds this last month. The MILFs and Cougars at work have noticed.
