Darkplace: Tales From The Hellmouth (TV-to-Movie)

A short teaser trailer for the edit...

Prizes for the first person who can spot which Exploitation Trailer I ripped the voiceover from* :p. Lots of extra soundFX and whatnot added on as well.

(* There are no actual prizes)

Thanks for taking the time to review this edit anarchemist :)...

The intermission was really cool as well as the previews and the coming attractions. I really really enjoyed it a lot and will rewatch it. (I was someone who watched the tv show, so I wasn't coming in cold. I wonder what reaction from someone who has never seen the source material before will be?) Anyway, I totally loved it and highly recommend to anyone...anyone who gets this kind of humor.

Glad you liked all the little extra bits I added.

Just found these two guys on YouTube who've shot a music video for the 12" mix of Darkplace's 'One Track Lover'...

...it's so well shot and lit, capturing that vintage New Wave feel. It's like Joy Division or Pet Shop Boys :D.

...and if anybody is interested here is Matt Berry's score for Darkplace...

...so good, wish he'd released it on CD. Love the clever musical refrences to John Carpenter and Twin Peaks.

...and damn I should have included this advert in the intermission :p...

This looks like a lot of fun, I'm definitely looking forward to checking this out after I write some backlogged reviews. Was a big fun of this series.

Thanks for taking the time to give your thoughts on this one Ripplin :)...

I was so pleased to see an edit of one of my all-time favorite series here! It's not a radical edit, but a nice alternate way of watching without the stories being interrupted. (people new to the series will want to see those interview clips later on as well, though) The intermissions and previews were a fun touch, matching the rough quality of the series. Nice animated menus, too.

Highly recommended. (including to the Scotch)

"a nice alternate way of watching without the stories being interrupted" was my main goal (The rest was just fun stuff for sh*ts and giggles) so I'm pleased... and yes the interviews I removed are hysterical and need to be seen...

A guess a fanedit could even go the other way, and cut in all the reems of deleted interview footage, for an extended Darkplace experience.

I'm rewatching Man to Man now. Just finished the one with Glynn Nimron.

Star Trek fans would love that episode. With the Sci-Fi convention spoof, the Star Trek/Roddenberry comedy refrences and of Glynn Nimron speaking with a note perfect George Takei voice. Plus scenes like this taking off both sci-fi classics 'Blade Runner' and 'Enemy Mine'...

^ For some reason the YouTube uploader of that clip has done a really bad edit of his own in the middle. Be warned.
