I was very excited to watch this when I first read about it. I love films and documentaries about the origins of life. This film is very well made, especially the first half. I was stuck to the screen for the first hour. What an amazing experience. I thoroughly enjoyed most of this film. The only part I felt didn't fit as well was the scenes from The Emerald Forrest. I get how it adds to the narrative but it just ruined the flow of the movie for me. Also, I did not like the soundtrack very much. I love Neil Young and Classic Rock but the songs choices just made the film feel like it was made in the 70s or 80s. I would have loved if had a vibe like Trent Reznors film scores. Or music from electronic producers like Aphex Twin, Boards of Canada, Teen Daze, Schlomo, or Clams Casino. Overall, I really enjoyed watching this and will definitely be recommending this to people.
