Here's my situation. I have a director's cut DVD. The theatrical footage is 23.976. The director's cut footage is 29.97i. This change keeps screwing up the sound sync. I have to edit on a 24p timeline, because I'm combining 2 movies and the other is edited @ 23.976.

Here are my possible solutions: Take the m2v of the movie and use DGPulldown to convert it entirely to 29.97 then I can frameserve it to my encoder and convert it back to 23.976. Or I can just re-edit the first half in 29.97.

My other solution is to use DGIndex to create a d2v and then avisynth that file to my MPEG encoder using the ConvertFPS command to change it to 23.976 OR I can use the "Force Film" pulldown flags in DGIndex.

I don't really know what to do. if someone could let me know, that'd be great.
