I know, it's been about a year or so since I posted on here, but I think I found an incredibly helpful link for people making edits of action films from the 1950s-90s. Since many of those original sound effects cannot be found commercially on SFX packages, several fans have collected these sound effects and presented them (in above average to excellent quality) for people to download freely. The link is right here: http://voiceactingalliance.com/board/showthread.php?61667-Cinesound-Effects-Library
Enjoy!

Okay, now that is awesome. [Opens JDownloader]

Thanks for the heads-up GAD. And public thanks to everyone/anyone involved in collecting them. :)

Niiiiiiiiiiiiiice.

awesome! thanks GAD. and nice to see you again ;)

Sweet, thanks for this. I was about to post a topic on here asking about free sources for sound effects.

Thanks for the link. You can never have too many sound effects.

this is awesome! i wonder if the "whoosh" sEffect is on there.
you know that sound when they do a hard white fade, usually into a flashback.
or sometimes they use that whoosh sound when a flashlight pans across the camera.
(because flashlights make noise when you pass them over a microphone)
i've been needing that sound and almost . . aallllllmost . . posted a new thread until i happened to find this one.
cheers.
