This is the re-release of the film posted previously by Rikter on MySpleen, with menus added by babyhum.
Description:
In an oasis of calm, far, far away from the tumult of excitement that was leading
up to the premiere of Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, Bill Moyers
joined George Lucas at Skywalker Ranch in northern California to talk about
the ancient myths and personal values that have synthesized into Star Wars.
The epic themes in Lucasâ cinematic stories are a springboard for a candid
conversation about family, fatherhood, spiritual beliefs, and the importance of
moral tales for every generation. Intercut with movie footage from the original
trilogy as well as the newly-released prequel, The Mythology of Star Wars with
George Lucas and Bill Moyers provides a revealing journey in the company of
the filmmaker through some of the most famous scenes of the Star Wars saga.

Description:
Transmitted on the ITV network in the UK on May 25th 2002, âThe A To Z Of Star Wars: Episode IIâ
was a 25 minute programme consisting of EPK interviews with the cast, documentary footage and
scenes from the film edited to form an alphabetic look at the movie (A is for Anakin, B is for
bluescreen etc.). I originally posted this footage in 24 parts on theforce.net in VCD format, and
also sent some early DVD copies out to a chosen few. When originally recorded onto DV, the image was anamorphic but it had a 4Ã3 pixel aspect ratio. I have now fixed the aspect ratio and this version is a proper 16Ã9 transfer (thanks to Adobe Premiere).
Note: The original programme features source material of varying qualities.

Description: (From vh1.com)
Few movies have reached the iconic status of the original Star Wars trilogy.
A long-shot science fiction project that was rejected by multiple Hollywood studios, Star Wars
(and its creator George Lucas) defied the skeptics and became one of the biggest pop culture
phenomena of all time. Now VH1 is working with Lucasfilm to produce the ultimate oral history
of the Star Wars years, When Star Wars Ruled the World. Timed to coincide with the DVD release
of the original trilogy on September 21, 2004, this hour-long documentary will take viewers back
to those rapturous moments when the whole world wanted to wield a light saber.
The show begins in the mid-1970s as George Lucas struggles to find a way to make his dream project
a reality. Relive the incredible and unlikely impact of the first Star Wars movie, the sudden fame
of unknowns like Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher, and the way fans around the world
fell in love, first with the movie and then with the action figures, pillow cases, C-3PO cereal and
everything else they could â and did â line up to buy. Manufacturers could hardly keep up with the
demand for anything and everything Star Wars (swamped by clamoring fans, the official Star Wars
toymaker, Kenner, at one point had to settle for selling vouchers for yet-to-be-made action figures.)
The show will also chronicle the immense anticipation for the first Star Wars sequel, The Empire Strikes
Back and the build-up to the climactic Return of the Jedi that had fans traveling hundreds of miles to
visit the gates of the movieâs set. Along the way, we will highlight the cultural impression made on
millions of fans by Star Wars icons like Darth Vader, Ewoks, and Yoda, and lines like âI am your fatherâ,
âThatâs no moon. Itâs a space stationâ and, âMay the force be with you.â
INTERVIEW LIST:
* Mark Hamill â Luke Skywalker
* Carrie Fisher â Princess Leia
* Harrison Ford â Han Solo
* Anthony Daniels â C-3P0
* Kenny Baker â R2-D2

Star Wars, conceived and directed by George Lucas, was originally released in 1977 and
went on to be the highest grossing movie of its time. With the release of the Special
Edition, Star Wars is again the largest grossing movie. Lucas used the power and profits
from Star Wars to establish himself as an independent producer operating from Skywalker
Ranch in Northern California. This notion of self belief was echoed in the central
philosophy of Star Wars. The Force for Lucas is a personal philosophy born out of near
tragedy. On 12th June 1962, Lucas, then aged 18, was driving home from the library when
the car he was driving was involved in a serious collisionâ¦

The epic themes in Lucasâ cinematic stories are a springboard for a candid
conversation about family, fatherhood, spiritual beliefs, and the importance of
moral tales for every generation. Intercut with movie footage from the original

* Anthony Daniels â C-3P0
* Kenny Baker â R2-D2
