Greetings Faneditorians. Faneditites.. um.. yeah anyhow...
We are going to try to do something that has never been done in the history of the current FE staff.. do the Annual Fanedit awards in a timely manner
Last year's format was a huge success and we are going to utilize the same basic formula; depending on the total number of possible nominees in any given category there can be a combination of automatic consideration by Fanedit of the Month winners, public poll nominations, and Academy final cuts to reach a final list of nominees for each category which will then be voted on by the Academy, Admins, Moderators, and for each category, any previous winners who wish vote if they are not up for the award themselves.
To kick things off we are starting with the public poll for Best Fanedit of 2012.
The Automatic Qualifiers are:
There are 94 total qualifying edits from 2012, minus the 12 FEOTM winners that leaves 82 edits which you, our beloved community, get the unenviable task of whittling down to 10 edits, which will be added to the 12 Automatic qualifiers for a total of 22 edits. The Academy will then deliberate on the 22, all of which were ultimately chosen via public poll, and consolidate the list into 7 final nominations.
