Best concert film ever (and one of my favourite films of any genre) 'Stop making Sense' by Demme...


So many cool ideas. Building the stage/band during the concert. Painting most instruments and wires matt-black so they would not reflect light. Little or no direct reverse shots of the crowd. No elaborate coloured lighting. Stage outfits in muted colours. All designed to make the focus only the music and performance.
