Main Project Intentions & Info:
This project aims to bring stronger continuity, tighter editing & improved pacing to all 5 films in the Evil Dead movie series.
The Raimi Trilogy now fits together much easier. Changes have been made to keep continuity & retain each film's unique re-telling of events- It all works together.
Opening credits are removed & a new "A (directors name) Film" credit has been added to the beginning of each film.
New title cards replace the old ones, bringing visual continuity to the series. Each film's title card also closes the film, appearing before the end credits.
All films now conclude with a short post-credits shot.
I've made extensive alterations to each film in order to summon my ideal versions.

Peroration:
This series is very near & dear to me. I still remember the night in my mid-teens when I rented an old video tape titled THE EVIL DEAD & watched with my friends. We had no idea what we were in for & we were blown away. It's still remembered by everyone who was there that night, some 25 years ago!
It wasn't long before I watched the sequel & yet again got something I couldn't have expected-
EVIL DEAD II instantly made the shortlist of my favorite movies & continues to be one of the wildest things I've ever seen. After EDII, I recognized the chainsaw-hand from the cover of another film on the shelf at the video store, a more recent release-
ARMY OF DARKNESS. So, that was next. In my late teens, I thought AoD was the funniest thing in the world.
In 2013 we got a remake/re-imagining, EVIL DEAD. I was very much against this, but this series surprised me with again with another wild ride!
Then, just last year, we were treated to EVIL DEAD RISE. A cast of kids, a different location & seemingly less ties to the original had me very iffy, but this series handed me another favorite film. I love it to death!
The Evil Dead series has everything from low-budget charm to top-notch artistry & always delivers unpredictable horror with wild creativity & kinetic energy.
Whether you're a demented deadite or only recently possessed, I hope you'll have fun with the Book of the Dead!

Peroration:
This series is very near & dear to me. I still remember the night in my mid-teens when I rented an old video tape titled THE EVIL DEAD & watched with my friends. We had no idea what we were in for & we were blown away. It's still remembered by everyone who was there that night, some 25 years ago!
It wasn't long before I watched the sequel & yet again got something I couldn't have expected-
EVIL DEAD II instantly made the shortlist of my favorite movies & continues to be one of the wildest things I've ever seen. After EDII, I recognized the chainsaw-hand from the cover of another film on the shelf at the video store, a more recent release-
ARMY OF DARKNESS. So, that was next. In my late teens, I thought AoD was the funniest thing in the world.
In 2013 we got a remake/re-imagining, EVIL DEAD. I was very much against this, but this series surprised me with again with another wild ride!
Then, just last year, we were treated to EVIL DEAD RISE. A cast of kids, a different location & seemingly less ties to the original had me very iffy, but this series handed me another favorite film. I love it to death!
The Evil Dead series has everything from low-budget charm to top-notch artistry & always delivers unpredictable horror with wild creativity & kinetic energy.
Whether you're a demented deadite or only recently possessed, I hope you'll have fun with the Book of the Dead!
