For my first fan edit I used Womble and I decided to edit my video and audio together, instead of working with a separate audio and video stream (i used tranzor's "fake cross fade method" where needed for the audio).
For whatever reason (maybe partially out of laziness of not wanting to rip the individual episodes, demux and remux into MPEG) ive been working with the raw VOBs for current fanedit. Womble seems to handle the VOBs just fine. However I was just wondering if anyone thinks this is a bad idea or that negative results may occur because of this?
May seem like a silly question but I was just curious. So far i've only had to deal with one instance where it was a problem and that was where a scene overlapped between the end of one vob and the beginning of the next one, which cause a hiccup in the audio and video, so I had to demux/remux that particular episode into MPEG (and then it played perfectly).
So I guess my main question is, should i start from scratch with my workflow and have all 8 episodes as individual MPEGS?
