What are your favorite bands/artists?

I couldn't find a thread like this, so here we go. 
I listen to a lot of music. My favorite bands in no particular order are
Nirvana 
System of a Down 
The Megas
The Protomen
Crush 40
Disturbed
Ninja Sex Party

I enjoy
Slipknot and Korn, but I don't listen to them enough to say if they're favorites. 

I'm starting to get into
R.E.M, and I love them. 
Smashing Pumpkins- I've heard two songs by them that I love. 

My favorite singers are
Aurelio Voltaire
Jonathan Coulton
Avril Levigne

I'm starting to get into
Bob Dylan, because of Watchmen. 

I also love AmaLee/LieandLee, she does wonderful covers of anime theme songs, I'm a sucker for it all.

For CDs I physically own, I have like 5 Disturbed CDs, and Iowa by Slipknot.

Ninja Sex Party is amazing. It consists of Danny Sexbang and Ninja Brian. Danny is more well known for being the co-host of the Game Grumps YouTube channel. 
They're music consists of sexual comedy and fantasy themes, as well as ninjas. They also have two really good cover albums.
Haven't listened to their new album yet, but I recommend anything from the first three albums. Manticore, Dragon Slayer, I Just Want to Dance, Everybody Shut Up, Attitude City, and You can do Us are all good, to name a few songs in particular. Oh, and 6969.

The classics, Beatles, Beach Boys, Stones, Floyd, Zep, are all good in their own way. Love the Beatles in particular.

But my favorite is stuff like:

It's the same way I used to get Clerks, Pulp Fiction, and Seinfeld mixed up with eachother. I hear mention of things when I'm younger, and they just blend together.

Try listening to Sgt Pepper's Lonely Heart Club Band (the Beatles album) from beginning to end, without skipping tracks or anything. Maybe in the car or at work/in class. If the whole album isn't stuck in your head for the next week at least, they're probably just not your thing. But it probably will be stuck in your head for more than a week.

I was invited by a local band to sit-in last spring for a Beatles tribute show. I was tasked with coming up with arrangements for the setlist. We had no keys, so that was challenging for songs like Strawberry Fields and I Am the Walrus. Ultimately I put together a lot of demos and the show ended up being canceled because the lead singer was getting married and didn’t have the time to rehearse. Still, it ended up being a fun exercise that really revealed a lot about their music for me. I also do the Abbey Road B-Side suite in my solo acoustic set.
