UPDATED

That's really, really nice. Excellent work!

Edit: Now available on DVD:the piratebay

thanks for sharing, spoke.
Was anything changed for this release?

Essentially nothing was changed for the DVDR.

Hope everyone enjoyed our take on Quentin's take of the flick.

And we now return to Bullitt, already in progress...

Is there a big quality difference between the DVDR and the avis?

I already downloaded the avi version and seeding the torrent but wonder if I should download the DVDR.

Also, I don't see this at linktalk.
I suppose there is no RS for this?

Thanks for this. I am looking forward to watching it!

correct. There is no RS for this, not even for the avi. If you could upload it, it would be nice.

That's a good idea.
I am not sure how it works though. When my account expires, will the files get deleted?

Although I paid for an RS acccount, I almost feel guilty because I'm downloading like a hog the last couple of days.
So I would love to help out.
jDownloader sure makes it easy to download though. heh.
Sometimes, over 1 MB/s hehehe.
And I thought my cable connection was 800 kB/s tops! :-D

So is there a quality improvement by downloading the DVDR?
I decided to try and download the DVDR torrent anyway.

I'll post back about uploading it.

Update: Ok Boon, I'm uploading to RS using unRapid uploader (35 kB/s.. geez)

I'm sending it to my premium acct but since it's a very short term acct., I wonder if it's better to upload to a free Collector's acct.

Any advice on that would be appreciated, since I can send the files from a premium acct to a free collector's acct.

So when I am done uploading, should I PM to you the links?

YES. DVD is higher quality. the AVI is usually made FROM the DVD and xvid/divx/ASP/AVC (AVI) are lossy.

you CAN get REALLY GOOD looking xvid AVI files, but at much higher bitrates than are typically seen here.

yes, zeppelinrox. To both. As long as you have a premium account it is god to have the files there, because they gain you RS points for every download. Once you decide to drop that, you can still move them to a collector's account.

Yeah, I wasn't sure about the DVDR quality for this release specifically because on the review on the main page, the CD.avi qualitiy wasn't that good.
I just figured the best quality release would have been reviewed.

Unless of course, the DVDR was released after the review, then that's a different story.

Well this will be done uploading in about 7 or 8 hrs.

So Boon, I'll PM the links, right?

And thanks for the RS tips :)

Ok, the 2 avi CDs have been uploaded to RS.

I added a couple of things to it though :)

The avi CD torrent contained the Sgt. Fury comic book, True Romance picture/poster, and an info file.

The DVDR, which I haven't finished downloading (via torrent), contains the DVD cover, 3D DVD picture, and the screenplay.(I thought it odd that the DVDR torrent doesn't contain the comic or the info file)

So I decided to combine all 6 items into a zip file.
I also uploaded the avi torrent along with a torrent for the DVDR release (which downloading slowly but surely)

The DVDR torrent downloaded pretty quickly.
It only took a day and a half.

The picture quality is indeed alot better.
It's a bit brighter and sharper and less pixelated.
The difference is very noticable in the dimly lit interior scenes.
It's even more noticeable on a big widescreen ;)

This being the case, I'm currently uploading to RS.
Again, I incluced the extra stuffings :)

Thanks for all the work, zeppelinrox.

I've reuploaded the avi to MegaUpload.
But first I merged the 2 cd.avi files together with VirtalDubMod.

I also included the same extras as before plus a few wallpapers.
The images below are reduced in size via imageshack.

The first one is an original wallpaper from the interwibble.
The ones with bullet holes mimic an official DVD cover.
