I had a problem for a while up until recently with topaz.
The program was overtaxing my cpu causing it to overheat then crash my pc(my pc exceeds the recommended requirements).
Turns out the problem was that my cpu was overclocked which was causing the overheating problem.
I turned my cpu down 1% to 99% utilization and that solved the overheating problem.
Now the cpu is not overheating anymore and is staying within the normal stable temperature.
I think the problem happened around update 3.0 and persisted for months until I got a suggestion from someone on what the problem was.
I hope that this helps anyone who might be in the same situation.
