Another extended cut of Thor: Ragnarok? When will it end?
This is different to my earlier Sakaarian Edition, as it includes the Doctor Strange sequence, an all new alternate version this time, as my other edit cut out Strange entirely.
There are also all new finished VFX, that weren't done for my last edit. Some comparison pics are included below.
This edit as been done from the ground up, with the IMAX footage being reintegrated, the score being redone, and the deleted scenes have been restored from scratch. Hopefully this version is fresh enough to warrent another view.
ADDITIONS:
- Added IMAX expanded aspect ratio scenes throughout the film, as taken from the 3D Blu-Ray
- Added alternate line taken from the Doctor Strange (2016) post-credits scene
- Added alternate ending to the Doctor Strange scene
- Added alternate scene of Thor rescuing Loki from Strange's imprisonment
- Added alternate scene with Odin, now located in a New York alley, rather than Norway
- Added extended introduction to the Grandmaster, and him melting his cousin (with finished VFX)
- Added Skurge seeing Heimdall helping Asgardian Refugees, and choosing not to intervene
- Added Grandmaster talking with Topaz about universal symbols (with finished VFX)
- Moved Grandmaster post-credits scene to after the Revengers take out Topaz
- Trimmed some minor material with the travel to Asgard within the Devil's Anus to accommodate...
- Added Thor and Banner talking about loss on the way to Asgard
- Added new post credits scene (secret!)
