Think competitive karaoke leagues aren't humanity's best idea since Wikipedia?
If so, well, you'd be wrong:
... So far, DC's District Karaoke, which just turned two and is already potty trained, only has one affiliate/franchise league, NYC's Gotham City Karaoke. But this particular organization, like Hare Krishna, will spread, only much more awesomely. Boston, LA, SF, Chicago... it's a matter of seasons, not years. And, as you can see in the above video, geeks and major cinephiles can feel right at home.
To sing, after all, is to live. :-D
