The Simpsons Finest Hour (Simpsons Movie Edit)

Since this is the 30th anniversary of the show this year, it's due time we featured a fresh fanedit of it here. I'm surprised it's taken so long to do an edit of this one as there was a lot to cover. ​

The film is relatively short as it is, I had to be careful not to cut down too much. As it stands, I've reduced it to down to a sizeable 69 minutes. ​

Ok, so a list of changes:

-Movie opens with traditional 20th century fox logo and fanfare
-Added in the Homer Simpson THX parody video
-No Itchy and Scratchy short
-No Green Day concert
-No American Idiot at the church
-No argument in the car after Granpa's epiphany
-Bart and Homer dares removed (no naked Bart skateboarding)
-Lisa's ENTIRE subplot with Colin is omitted
-"To Be Continued...Immediately" cut
-Homer's back and forth with the wrecking ball cut
-Dr Nick's death omitted
-Couple of other minor trims

Maybe replace the donut with the FE logo? The yellow box and black background kind of clash with the image to my eyes.

This has largely been done to omit the Green Day and Colin credits, but in general the massive voice cast/character infodump at the end of the movie feels unneccersary since so many of the characters barely appear.

Alternatively, I could completely forsake the end credits in order to avoid crediting Green Day or Colin

Worked on a second draft today...some things I cut out of the first draft are back in, but I've managed to reduce the running time to just sixty minutes (minus any credits). I might change the project title to "The Simpsons Hour"
