Lee van Cleef would have made an AWESOME Shadow. His eyes, the prominent nose, his posture. He could have been the definitive Shadow in the 1960s!

Ohhh, excellent choice! Never thought about him in the role, but he fits so perfectly! Also it would be one of those cases of playing against type while using the strenghts of the usual type: he was most frequently the villain, and here he would have been able to use the darkness of his usual roles to play the hero.
