You should try and talk to the soundguy and see if he will let you record off the soundboard. I used to do this often and h ave some great sounding shows because of it

So are you going to X'up for this show? Not sure how old you are, but if you are unaware this board is roughly where everyone frequents who are now in their late 20s and up. Mostly a whose' who from the late 80's and 90's. No stupid children like the B9 boards

check here
http://forums.livewire-records.com/list.php?f=1
(hit the collapse threads option on the bottom of the page, much better for overall viewing)

I just noticed Reach the Sky is playing. I used to talk to Ian way back in the 90s. I crashed at his place with a friend of mine once who hooked up with this girl online (she lived in Boston, we live in NY). He was a riot.

WOW I am now really looking at who is playing. I do not care about things too much anymore but THAT is one hell of a lineup
ahh those were the days...

yeah the lineup is amazing. worth it alone for unbroken, trial and undertow - everyone else (swing kids!!!) is a bonus.

i won't be Xed up for this, but i'll be in the mix. i'm not straightedge or vegan (i love beer and scotch way too much and am a carnivore), i just dig the music and the message - actually i'm more of a newcomer than a longtime scenester. most of these bands were broken up by the time i was out of high school. (i'm 27)

...and i'll be seeing trial and 108 in seattle next week (sorta a secretive show... not so much now!) so i'm starting early. :)

Nice, 108 is awesome.
I get being an old head at the shows though. I am almost 30 and last time I saw Converge, I got kicked in the head by a kid w/ a tattoo of New Jersey. Now I just stand against the wall and quietly rock-out inwardly :)

Woven Hand on the third of may. I'm excited to see how it will turn out.

Don't feel so bad, I am 36 so I was able to catch these bands the first time around

I have a nice soundboard show of split lip (among others and before the Chamberlain name change) I can eventually upload once I get the master tapes back from Jeff Terranova (upfront singer/smorgasbord records) who wanted these from me for years. I sent him like 30 some odd tapes to put on cd for me as I do not have the time to do it myself

I should come check this out. Do you have a flyer or more info you can post?

impatiently waiting! LOL - there aren't many hardcore bootlegs circulating.

Sure, but you'd be coming down for us as the Bronx is playing at the note in WC on Sunday night IIRC.

Tuesday April 21st 8:00pm

The Bronx
One of the heaviest, catchiest sort-of-punk-rock bands of the last few years. Think a metalcore Strokes, or a poppier Coalesce, or some bastard offspring of Rocket From The Crypt, Quicksand, and the Hives. Garage-y AND poppy AND punky but so crunchy and heavy and completely kick ass. It's pretty damn irresistible. The songs are catchy and fun, heavy and fucked up, but like all the bands they borrow from, they're even more lethal live. Recommended.

Aneurysm Rats
Fast punk/hardcore from members of who was in Paint It Black, Go! For The Throat, None More Black, one Up and Crumbler. Philly.

Dirty Tactics
Guitars influenced by more recent fare from the Dischord crowd get cleaned up and lathered with enough pop sensibilities to please any major label interest that might be in the offing. First show in a long time. Philly!

Sinatrah
There's no croon in Willow Grove's SINATRAH. Instead they melt bionic post-grunge over a messy batch of metallic prog noise-core similar to Frodus, Pig Destroyer and Rumpelstiltskin Grinder. Universal Warning Records

At The First Unitarian Church
2125 Chestnut Street (22nd and Chestnut Sts)
Philadelphia, PA

There are a ton of them but you just have to look in the right spots (livewire board being one) and on the right p2p apps (soulseek)

then again mp3 still cannot beat wave from the original source-
