UPDATE
So this now infanous moment has caused many issues and comment.
Existing versions out there of THE SANTINO DELETED SCENE, are poor, to say the least. The audio is pretty poor too.
When I made the Magnum Opus, specifically Michael's Opus, i retained the prro audio and repurposed some material to keep it HD...
THEN @tylrsmmrs located a copy of THE EPIC 1902-1959 (not 1901-1959) on VHS which DOES contain the scene (the other version does not).
He extracted it and sent me the VHS rip. As many of you will know the HIFI audio on VHS is fairly clean, and was an improvment on the audio we had from hal_over_9000's extended versions.
THEN, @INIGHTMARES ran a Topaz pass over the material. I then cropped the open 4:3 matte, aligned it and applied a cross fade visually and brought in the VHS audio for the end of the scene.
Below are the four versions plating indivually and the ALL FOUR at the same time.
This revision will be cleaned up further and added back to the Magnum Opus together with the missing material from the Theatrical Version of The Godfather Part 3 (4 K sourced) that was removed from the Director's Cut and Coda version in a final revision to Michale's Opus. Don Vito's Opus will remain as it is.
ENJOY the preview below.
