The Big Bang Theory

Hey frantic? Whats the big to do about Howard in space?

I had to Google this because I hadn't watched season 5 since the original airings, and I haven't picked up the DVD's yet.

Howard is given an amazing job opportunity by NASA - as a payload specialist, he will travel into space via a Russian Soyuz Rocket to install his team's deep field space telescope on the International Space Station.

The last season ended, after Howard and Bernadette's wedding, with Howard going into space. And now, looking at the press releases for the next two episodes, he's going to be in space for those two episodes as well. Hopefully they won't have him in space for the duration of the season because that'll make for some pretty lame segments.

I also saw the new two and 1/2 men, was also entertained. There.

So did I. I didn't start watching 2.5 Men until last season when Ashton Kutcher replaced Charlie Sheen. I never had any interest in the show, and found it rather dull whenever I'd catch bits and pieces, but I'm enjoying it with Ashton Kutcher in the lead now.

I meant: why don`t you like Howard in space? Whats the big deal?

My bad. I guess I just misunderstood. I don't like the Howard in space storyline because there's nothing they can really do with him. I mean, he can't contribute to the main storylines. All they can really do with him now is show him working in space, and really what fun is that for the viewer. And yeah, okay, they had him Skyping with Bernadette and speaking on the phone with his mother, but that's going to get old real fast if that's all they have him do.

I must say I'm glad I've kept watching. The new episodes are becoming funnier again, and manage to capture some of the spark of the early seasons. Latest one with the guys fighting over the parking spot was full of classic TBBT dynamics, previous one about Howard and Raj investigating Sheldon's behavior could perfectly fit in season 1. It thankfully seems that the Dork Ages are over, and I hope the upcoming episodes won't prove me wrong.

What's with the release schedule for this show? last episode was about two weeks ago and the last several episode all are spread apart by two or more weeks, WHAT THE HELL MAN?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Not sure but most shows take a 2-3 week hiatus before coming out with the last 3 episodes of the season. Supernatual comes back next week as does how i met your mother so i assume it will have a new episode next week

Actually the next 4 episodes, which are the final 4 episodes of the season, are all airing a week apart.

April 25th: The Closure Alternative
May 2nd: The Proton Resurgence
May 9th: The Love Spell Potential
May 16th: No episode title or press release released yet.

Well it still sucks they were spreading them out like that, are they trying to lose their audience?

Where did you get your information about them spreading out the remaining episodes at least 2 weeks apart?

Never used it. I've been using The Futon Critic for years now. If there's any changes to the schedule they list it as soon as it's released. They also leave the listing for the cancelled airings in the Complete Listings list for any particular show so you know if something was supposed to air on one day but then got changed. Take a look at the Complete Listing list for The Big Bang Theory to see what I mean.

The show has now been renewed for another 3 seasons. Yay! That's another 72 episodes.

I made a video a while back where I took the actors' known (or most-recently-known) per-episode salaries and, using the season finale, broke down how much that they made on a per-second basis. This does not include any perks or bonuses. Also, for "fun", using the per-season salaries, I calculated hourly wages for them as if they were working 24/7/365.

I never watched this show until a friend told me that I reminded her of Sheldon. That was last year.

I finally started watching it about six months ago.

I scoured Amazon and bought every season that was available.

I binge watched until my eyes hurt and I wasn't sleeping. People were starting to worry about me. My friend threatened to take me to the emergency room after several days with only a few hours of sleep because I turned "pasty" and my lips had no color. She said that she couldn't describe the smell coming from my body. She kept her nose pinched closed.

She was very concerned about my dog because he was hunkered in a corner with his teeth bared and growling. He looked and smelled much the same as I did.

I confessed to my addiction with no small amount of guilt. She threatened to confiscate my collection if I didn't get some sleep and get myself and my poor dog some serious help.

I couldn't help it. It was like crack. Every time I tried to put it down it called my name.

I am now caught up on the series and enrolled in a support group that meets the day before the show airs. The only time I experience any anxiety now is when I have to wait for the next episode for more than a week.

I am preparing myself for the last episode which will come far too soon.

Needless to say...I love the show and believe that it is legendary. It is my favorite sitcom of all time. It even beats Shameless which is a huge feat.

Shouldn't it be everyone's?

I guess you could say that I became addicted. This may be the best sitcom ever. I know...I know...some will say Mash (yeah maybe our grandfathers)...some will say Seinfeld (I really didn't get it...am I not smart enough?)...some will say All in The Family (now I DO get that) but The Big Bang Theory trumps them all.

Who started this thread? I really need some help defending my integrity when I admit to loving this show. Aren't we all an almagam of each character?

I don't like the show. But, no defense needed. Like what you want to like.

I enjoyed the early seasons, but this show has dragged on too long. It hasn't been funny in a long time.

I have no real compass to go by. I never watched it until about six months ago. Then I binge watched it until I was caught up. It may not be as good as it was but its still pretty good.

I think the first fail was when Leonard and Penny got married. But the they added Amy Farrah Fowler which kind of rescued it.
