but it's inaccesible from outside Japan. I've entered with a VPN and it has a wonderfully functional search engine, including the possibility of searching by EIRIN number.
The problem is, only from 2009 to the present. This means the first 110,000 numbers are not searchable, but the rest up to the present can be easily extracted. It seems foreign movies have a different numbering though, the latest ones numbered in the 48,000 range., and then there's another set of numbers that start with a letter S and have 4 digits, which I don't quite get... in any event, it seems they rate every-freaking-thing by decree.
I think I'll go back to the good old MPA number mysteries before I get too deep in the EIRIN rabbithole.
