THE CBB GROUP has started on their next edit. It is not the expected THE ISLAND- CLONED EDITION nor the even longer expected WINDTALKERS edit, no, this time it is TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE - THE THOMAS HEWITT FILES
Using footage from the remake of TCM and the new TCM THE BEGINNING, we will create a complete and true horror experience, not just gory or full of splattering guts, not effect hungry and not that superficial, but a true horror movie from start to finish.

approximates: 120 minutes, english only, NTSC 16:9, 5.1 audio.

I don't think TCM outmatches THRILLER in brutality any day... or does it?

I've never seen TCM. It's gory. THRILLER isn't gory.

yeah. I have my problems with this stuff as well. I could not watch the original to the end.

...but how could we resist the newest CBB release?

no way around it, I guess...

oh well... as I wrote before, it won't be that gory. And compared to High tension this is a soft ass movie.

I would love to see this one, also! I loved both films, but I am a fan of all that blood and guts stuff. I don't know why, but I do!

I was thinking of doing a fanedit of Saw, Saw II, and Saw III. Making them into a two and half hour movie. I don't know if people would watch it, though. I would keep it really bloodly. So I don't know!

Hey, my favorite movie is, "The Last House On the Left" so that should give you an idea of the kind of movies I like.

yep, I always found that very strange about you, Pauley79 ;-)
And I for myself prefer story to gore anytime. LHOTL is way too much for me, I feel so bad when watching it, it is like being a voyeur on something where you should intervene.

Well, you know Boon, this is the safest way for anyone. Watching this stuff, keeps you inner demons inside, so they won't escape. Everyone has a sick side to them.

And please know that is it not the movies or music that makes killers and rapest. It is simpely the parents and there background. You can watch anything on TV or in the movies, and not go and kill someone. Watching it just lets you escape your life for 90 - 120 minutes.

I mean come on after you watch Hannibal or something, you don't walk out of the theater saying, "Damn, I want to go and eat someone" No! You just don't do that!

Well, anyways! Thats just my two cents!

haha. We are getting philosophical now. And of course you are right, still, everybody also has limits. I cannot watch and enjoy everything. But of course (and I really hope so) it does not awaken the killer in us to watch that stuff. Man, what would I have killed, if that was true.

this is the cover art.
it will be 100 minutes only, some heavy editing was necessary, but the result looks very promising.

talking about Last House on the Left, my Buddy Gavin is working on a extended version of this

--Rob goes to his blog to copy the details--

a Project by Gavin Salkeld

A construction of Wes Cravens original vision for the film, before
precutting it to appease the censors for theatrical release. Using the
Dailies, Outakes and the alternate cut 'Krug & Company' we are going
to attempt to restore the notorious violent scenes as much as we can
and re-instate the alternate / deleted scenes. Using The book 'Making
of the last house on the left', we attempt to bring Wes Cravens
chilling debut to viewers in a version that is as close as possible to
the film he and producer Sean Cunningham had originally conceived.
To avoid fainting, keep repeating......
..It's only a fan edit..........

Can't wait for this TCM edit. I'm a huge TCM fan (I still say the 74 version has some of the best cinematography I've ever seen), so I'm psyched about this.

It can't get on RS fast enough. ^_^
