Welcome to the Tea thread!

We talk about Tea, discuss Tea & perhaps show off your Tea, etc.

So to begin...

What kind of tea do you drink?

EDIT:

This thread is no longer exclusive to Tea, now Coffee! and other caffeine beverages.

Mint has always been one of my favorite or a close variety like peppermint.

I often enjoy a good rooibos or chamomile. And you can't go wrong with ginger.

I love tea. As an FE thread I'm wondering: are you encouraging us to make edits of teas?

A fanmix of a Yunnan black tea with a particular type of honey, or
an extended edition of a green Oolong, by steeping it in cold filtered water overnight, or
a short of a Japanese green that tastes best when steeped for only about 30 seconds?

Typing this while drinking Yunnan Gold Tip and working on a trailer for my Contact edit.

I hate tea. But I quite like some teas that aren't actually tea. Like peppermint or chamomile, which are actually just... well, peppermint and chamomile.

Rooibos is maybe the exception. I like that and I think that actually is tea.

The best tea though is cream tea. Jam, scones, cream - all that jazz.

Note: I'm a Brit, so we may have different ideas of what "tea" is.

...and always remember that "Scones" is pronounced "Scones", not "Scones".

For me it's always Twinings. Their "everyday" tea, supplemented by fragrant Earl Grey, Assam when I want a strong tea and occasionally Darjeeling and Ceylon for variety. Tea Pigs Chai is good but it's expensive and spiced tea isn't something I like all the time.

The best way to make tea (with a tea-bag because really who has time for anything else) is a very small splash of milk first, then hot water and leave to steep for 3 minutes at least. Don't put the milk in afterwards and don't stir or squeeze the tea bag until you take it out.

I do like a loose leaf green tea when at a good Thai, or Chinese restaurant and Thai Milk Iced Tea is refreshing, as is traditional iced tea.

All Herbal teas are the work of the devil... at least every one I've ever tried (they aren't really "tea" though).

All this talk of tea is making me thirsty! :D

I used to say "Scones" but now I say "Scones". Not sure when I changed or why.

Before I was such an alcoholic i would occasionally drink celests "sleepy time tea", which is just herbal/ chamomile with a variety of flavors in the evenings. Don't care for real tea.  Wouldn't drink it anyway, no caffeine for me.

I pretty much just drink vodka and water these days.  (Not mixed together. )

So if peppermint and chamomile aren't real tea's, then how about a nice sour beer?

Made a meme.

Btw,

Since one box contains 100 tea bags, 250 [boxes] x 100 [tea bags] = 25000 tea bags.

Woolworths (called Countdown in New Zealand) sells a tea box at $3.50 each (I calculated using that price) I'm sure that a wholesaler sells them cheaper.

1 tea bag x 360 days (360 tea bags a year).

3 and a half boxes a year, so 250 boxes would last you less than a decade.

Ready for the apocalypse
