Unlike the original Sweet Charity, this fanedit by Wraith captures the actual "feel" of the whole movie, where the central character (the protagonist, Charity Hope), is able to pull herself out of her miserable existence and, with the help of Oscar (her love interest) achieve a "hopefully ever after" ending. All of the famous musical numbers from the stage-play are still in the film, but the ending has been suitably altered to create a happy ending. The director, Bob Fosse, believed that the happy ending was too corny, but he filmed it anyway just in case the film executives back in Hollywood demanded that a happy ending be included. Surprisingly, the Hollywood executives supported Fosse's artistic vision and the original downbeat ending became the official ending of the cinema cut. Wraith's fanedit cut shows what Fosse had created as a "backup plan" - and personally, looking back with over half-a-century of hindsight, I consider the happy ending to be superior. Thank you Wraith for showing us, once again, the true value of the fanedit community... the preservation of films and the exploration of alternative ways of conveying a story.
