"Spider-Man: Lotus" is an upcoming fan film based on the Spider-Man comics "The Kid Who Collects Spider-Man" and "Spider-Man: Blue". It's directed by Gavin J. Konop, and stars Warden Wayne as Peter Parker, Moriah Brooklyn as Mary Jane Watson, Tuyen Powell as Gwen Stacy, Sean Wythe as Harry Osborn, and Maxwell Fox-Andrews as Tim Harrison.

Here's the first trailer:

Here's the second (which has a very impressive CGI shot at the end):

Here's a track from the musical score:

Here's an interview with the director:

Here's a breakdown of the CGI shot from the second trailer:

Hey, this has really good cinematography and lighting! For the most part it does look like a blockbuster (except for that iffy CGI shot of Spidey falling at 2:44 in the first trailer). The average technical quality of fan films seems to be improving fast!

"Others are calling for a boycott of the Spider-Man: Lotus due to Warden's comments, with some saying the actor's apology doesn't make up for his previous statements."

Once a thief, always a thief.

I hate the Internet.

Oh the actor's comments are small fry compared to what the director's been doing...............

Find it hilarious how all of these scandals were revealed to be from a disgruntled guy who got ghosted after Gavin offered to help him with his own fan film.

Angry people can do stupid stuff. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

After looking into it, it seems the director and lead actor are or were publicly racist teenagers or something. This would have come out eventually, don't blame the messenger. Who is also a teenager.

The second VFX team have now walked away from the project, here they are explaining some of the process into building a scene and then showing the sequence

Gavin J. Konop has now made a video addressing the controversy.

Channel Pup comments on the controversies and brings up concerns that fans have gone too far in rewarding fanfilm makers with the cult of celebrity

Between this and No Way Home being a convoluted shit-fest, I feel there's no hope for Spider-Man films period...........

Yeah, but I would love a new adaption that fixes whatever problems the Raimi films had......and a Green Goblin that's like the comics and doesn't just rely on Willam Dafoe being William Dafoe.
