Snyder-ize Green Lantern?

There's a rumor Ryan Reynolds may cameo as Green Lantern in the upcoming Justice League Snyder Cut.  For anyone who's seen the Green Lantern, would it possible or impossible to remix it, bleed out the bad humor, and color shift it to feel like it fits into the Snyder universe?  Granted... Green Lantern in general with power rings that can make machine guns can't completely be wiped of goofy stuff.
 
It's already been done! Someone here in the forums made an edit of it called Green Lantern Corps that intends to set the movie in the DCEU. It's not perfect, but I loved it. He changed the colors in a way that makes everything look so much better. It may be worth looking into.

Edit: you may want to fix the spelling of Snyder in the title of the thread, I just noticed.
