I'm not a Scanners fan, but this film is shown ocassionly on the HBO and Cinemax channels. The SD Version Channels show the film in an open-matte full frame with a transfer that looks like it was taken from a Laserdisc, but the HD Version Channels show the film in a matted 1.85:1 Widescreen (possibly the director's intended ratio) with a transfer that is outstanding, clean, and well done. I was wondering, for the Scanners fans, if the Widescreen HD Broadcast of Scanner Cop could be preserved. Again, the HD Version of Scanner Cop can be found on the HD Version Channels of HBO and Cinemax.
