Brief Synopsis:
From the mind of Sylvester Stallone comes one of the most eagerly awaited television series in history. Spanning 14 years, we follow the life of an unknown boxers rise to fame, Rocky Balboa, in Rocky - The Series.

The purpose of the edit is to show the life of Rocky Balboa and his rise from nothing to being the champion and all the ups and downs that come with it.

Intention:
I plan on splitting the 5 Rocky films into 12 episodic stories which run approximately 30 minutes each, the intention is to try and make it feel like a TV series. This edit will put a fresh spin on the films and each episode will feature a previously, intro title, end title and a next time teaser as well as each episode ending on a cliff hanger to ensure you can't wait to watch the next episode.

This edit is in no way intended to be any kind of replacement for the films. The hope is that the series will be a fun alternative way to experience the Rocky story.

Since it's a different person I don't really want to add them in, I just wanted to stick with the first five movies as Rocky Balboa was released way after Rocky V and doesn't really fit with the other movies.

That's a good idea, I'm still thinking about how to best approach it so I will take that into consideration

Here is the intro that I have done, I believe it looks like what you'd expect from a tv series and I think the music also suits, the end sounds a bit off and needs some fixing but overall I plan on keeping everything as I'd say it's pretty well done and I'm happy with how it's turned out.

Love the idea of this edit....after all, it makes me remember when I did my Rambo A Warrior's Journey fanedit TV series!  Personally, I am a little disappointed that Rocky Balboa is not included as part of the series, as it makes an excellent book end to the saga - but hey, that's just me

As for the title sequence... not bad at all.  I like all the visual choices you have made and the music of course, works brilliantly - well, apart from that ending which I do feel needs a little tweaking to smooth the transition.

However, for the titles themselves, they do appear a bit bland.  I don't know if it's the font, or just the fact that they are all in the centre of the screen... at times they cover actors faces, and on a few occasions they white titles get lost in the background (Music by Vince Dicola and Bill Conti for example).  Personally, I would suggest moving the titles around a bit... maybe framing them to the left, then right etc... or at least don't have them covering actors faces.  Also, I would make "ROCKY" in much larger font than "The Series"... otherwise, good work!!

I'm might still add in Rocky Balboa as I have been thinking about it, it just depends on how much I can fit into each episode as being only 10 there might not be enough episodes, I might have to add in another episode or two to fit that movie in, so I will just see how things work out and decide when the time comes 

You are right about the titles being bland, I was thinking of doing them in black with a yellow outline, your also right about the titles not being in the best spot, I will go back and mix them up along with adding colour which I think will help bring them more alive.

That's a good idea, since Rocky is older and many years have passed since Rocky V and since Creed is based on a different person it would make sense to seperate them. If I did a season 2 it would be a mini series, I will wait and see when I get towards the end of the season.

The plan is to trim the 5 movies which have a runtime of around 9 hours down to 5 hours by cutting a lot of unnecessary scenes, so it will pretty much be a streamlined viewing experience.

Here is the new intro that I done, I changed the writing colour from the basic white to black with a yellow outline to resemble Rocky II, I have also moved the titles which were covering faces to the side of the screen.

I have already started working on episode 1 and have cut out some unnecessary scenes, the plan is for this series to be viewed from the perspective of someone that has never watched the Rocky series before, so by cutting out certain scenes a first time viewer wouldn't notice and each episode will look as if that's how it normally is and all the edits will make for a steamlined viewing experience.

Here is the outro to Episode 1, I put the credits over screenshots of the episode and I have put Eye Of The Tiger as the song. I have almost finished Episode 2, I just have a few more trims to make and an outro to add then that's another episode done.

I have decided I'm going to have two versions of the first fight between Rocky & Apollo, the original and an alternate which I'm going to mix scenes around and rescore with the music from Rocky II, I'm hoping this will make the fight more exciting as after round 2 it pretty much skips all the way to round 13. This alternate version is in no way intended to be a replacement to the original, it's just a different way to watch the fight and hopefully it's as enjoyable as the original.

Much better youngy!  I like the black and yellow colour change - very nice and as you say, a nice nod to Rocky II.  The placement of the wording is much better too.  I would still implore you to make the "Rocky" title much bigger than "The Series".  Will have far more impact that way.

Non-linear would really draw in the viewer and also facilitates removing material far more easily since you have a greater narrative freedom...DOWNSIDE, needs very careful planning.

Respectful suggestions:
I know it is just rough, but those cuts will need to sync up with the music. Also, soften the lettering edges slightly, it 70s 80s and you don't want it to look like video overlay (or maybe you do)...a 2 or 3 point drop shadow will help as well. Maybe make the letters just 10% transparent...you won't see much thru at all, but it ties them into the film stock.
