this seemed like the proper place for this. In my internet travelings I'm sure i've seen a program that can tell you the specs for a particular dvd. like runtime, region, soundmix and whatnot. i know i can just open the dvd in media player or whatever and find all these things out, but does anyone know of a program like the one i describe? i think it'll be faster for cataloging my fanedits

how about Cyberlink's Power DVD.
This DVD watching software also offers plenty of information about the video, like framerate, region, sound information, whatever...
and then there is of course G-Spot, which provides with lots of info about avi, mpg or vob files.
