That isn't even remotely true. Battleships played a major part in avenging Pearl Harbor. Avenging Pearl Harbor is the main component of ADigitalman's edit. He removed the romance triangle.

Not sure what are you talking about, but as far as I know, avenging Pearl Harbor in the movie is bombing Japan. There are no sea battles with battleships.
The only thing that battleships do in that movie is sinking.

I've just downloaded this edit and , as far as I can tell, no English subtitles for it exist. I'd like to make subtitles and it would be easier with a list of the cuts made. Is that available?
 
yeah i couldnt find this remake, so i just did it myself and removed every scene that had to do with the love interests and love triangle.makes it a much better movie.
