Why would you hope for that? It can’t happen.  The game could have ended in a tie, but it would be impossible for both teams to lose the game.

If that had happened to my team, we wouldn’t be over it for a long, long time.
 
I have found in the past 5 years or so, as a rough estimate, bad beats in sports just don't bother me as much anymore.

If the Cubs hadn't won a World Series I'd feel different about them.  But I saw a Bears Super Bowl title in my lifetime.  It's fine.  The fact that your Eagles won their title last year and you're still so emotional about this year is weird to me.
 
Not sure why it seems weird to you.  People in my area are passionate when it comes to the Eagles.
