I’ve been sick in bed all day so I’m just glad it turned into a good game after that snoozefest of a first half. Unfortunately, both teams didn’t lose as was my hope.

Why would you hope for that? It can’t happen.  The game could have ended in a tie, but it would be impossible for both teams to lose the game.

I have found in the past 5 years or so, as a rough estimate, bad beats in sports just don't bother me as much anymore.

If the Cubs hadn't won a World Series I'd feel different about them.  But I saw a Bears Super Bowl title in my lifetime.  It's fine.  The fact that your Eagles won their title last year and you're still so emotional about this year is weird to me.
