A great single season 1982-83 series, based loosely on real life big game trapper (and movie star) Frank Buck.
After Raiders of the Lost Ark, networks do what they do best, rip off what is already successful.
But this was great adventure romp.  It really captured the feel of the old adventure movies of the 30s and 40s.
Maybe partly because being the early 80s political correctness had not yet asserted its power over tv shows too much yet...lol.
Regardless, a good show that is on my dvd release bucket list.

I'm not the best at translation but it goes along those lines:

Luckily he does not sing "good old time of colonies", but it's close, lol.

loved this show.  

and @"SonofSinbad"  and @"bionicbob" , Julia Duffy was one of my biggest tv crushes before i knew what that feeling was (mostly from Newhart reruns).  thank you for the memory.
