As I've seen other faneditor's work announced as news on the front page, I thought I'd submit the announcement for my 3rd edit... This time, I'm taking on Supergirl. My edit is called "Supergirl and the Fate of Argo City."
My goal with this edit is to take the best elements from the International Version and Director's Cut of the film and create a much tighter and more entertaining film. I'm focusing on tightening up the action, removing some moments of terrible acting, and downplaying some of the film's cheesiest bits of dialogue and humor. I'll be restoring the all of the footage, color correcting certain scenes, and re-doing some of the special effects, as well as stabilizing some of the film's shakier scenes. Additionally, I've elected to integrate several scenes of Christopher Reeve in the film as Superman... while providing good reasons that he's too busy with other things to learn what's going on with Supergirl.
I expect to release the edit before the end of March.
The main discussion about "Supergirl and the Fate of Argo City" can be found at the following link in the Fanedits "In the Works" section:

And finally, I've recently completed the final version of the opening titles sequence for my edit. I feel it will serve as a great teaser trailer since it drops names like Christopher Reeve and John Williams into a film in which they did not originally appear.
I created the opening titles entirely from scratch in After Effects. Here's the sequence on YouTube:
My only hope is to generate more interest in this project, and not to spam the news section with irrelevant stuff. I think the first major attempt at a fanedit of Supergirl is more than relevant here.
Thanks!
