If you upload the file to Avisynth, it’ll separate the tracks and then you can mute the other tracks and see if the song cuts out or it blends through. Dialogue is usually the center track.

I'm using a Mac, don't believe that Avisynth is compatible, any other suggestions?

Captain Marvel

the scene where MAR-VEL is in her head and playing "Nirvana"..... would like to replace it with Guns n Roses

If you've ripped your Blu-ray and ended up with surround dts audio file(s), you should be able to open in Audacity, which will show six tracks. You can preview to be sure there's no bleed through from the song, and if so, it can export the film's audio as individual wav files for editing. Then just remove or mute the tracks you don't want during that scene and add what you want. If the music bleeds into the center channel track it will be much more difficult, to the extent that it might not be worth changing (noise reduction may help in some cases but generally it produces unusably low quality dialogue audio). It mostly depends on how the audio was originally mixed.

Edit: the thread Frink linked has a lot more info but that's the gist.

well I tried doing that, all I get when I drag into Audacity is static.
