MP4/MKV Playlists

This isn't really a fanedit discussion, just a general technical comment, but I wish there was a way to use an .mp4 or .mkv container with multiple video files and a playlist, similar to a .mpls file on a Blu-ray. There would be a couple of cool applications you could then have, with different video tracks paired with foreign audio tracks so credits could be in the correct aspect language, or so you could mix aspect ratios to better utilize screen space. For example, 2.39 AR movies with 16:9 TV clips or IMAX segments could have each segment stored in separate files that each fully extend to the top and/or sides of the screen regardless of screen aspect ratio instead of having annoying windowboxes.
